NARAGANSETT INDIAN MEETINGHOUSE
Charlestown, RI / website
After a devastating fire in 1993 which gutted their historic Narragansett Indian Church in Charlestown, Rhode Island, the Native American Congregation faced a major rebuilding project. The structure, made of hand-hewn granite blocks and originally built in 1750, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Walsh Architect researched and documented the existing structure and designed the new church and prepared the construction documents. All architectural services were donated by Walsh Architect.
